The Masquerader pt 2

Hello people!

Seasons greetings to you all. I hope this Christmas brings you good tidings and all the blessing of love and happiness you could ever seek for.

Ok, now to today's agenda. You all remember the masquerader story right? For those of you who do not or who may not have read it at all, you can follow here to get a heads up on the antecedents leading to the instant read. So I was at the same salon over the weekend and I raised the topic again. Trust me, I have been trying to find out the where about of this lady for a while now, but didn't know how to start asking the people at the salon, without sounding like an "amebo" (gossip).

So finally, I mastered the courage and asked after the lady this time around and the response I got certainly broke my heart. The poor lady is dead. Yes! you heard right... Dead! How that happened, no one knows. As sad as it can be, what the family members planned and did with her corpse is what  made me "bore" (vex) big time!  I was told they went for her corpse and they gave her a grand funeral which attracted a large crowd.

After this story and the appendages attached to it were shared with me, I began to ask myself all sort of questions: Where were all those family members when she was living on the street? Does it mean the family members preferred her corpse more? OMG! How could they even dare to go for her corpse after neglecting her and allowing her die in such a sad way in the first place? Lord have mercy!

Sad way to end a life just because one was being good. May God forgive the husband who is believed to be under a spell and may the Lord forgive the "supposed" friend too and help her repent. May the Lord help her to repent because even though this lady might be dead and gone, even in death, she's got people watching out and praying for justice on her behalf.

Anyway! I wish you all the best of this season and I'd like to share with you, a prayer I got from the net. I pray that you will give to your enemy, forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; and to all, charity. I also pray that you give to every child, a good example and to yourself, respect. Have the best of the season and please observe a minute silence for the departed.

Peace... I'm out!

Help Please!!!

Hello my people!
I apologise for being MIA for so long. Abeg make una forgive moi you hear! (By the way I am working on a post which will contain English, French and Naija pidgin all in one-So I'm practicing with the opening lines of this post...lol. Maybe we should all try this. What do you think?). Na my mid-semester exam dey worry me anyhow like say tomorrow no dey. Trust you are all doing great by the grace of Dieu, oui?
I extracted this story from Chioma Toplis (Nollywood actress) page on FB and as always, I'm sharing it on this platform (with a few additions of mine) with the hope that you will share your thoughts and help folks out there deal with really deep life's issues.
"My name is Sarah, I am a 29 year old girl from Orlu in Imo state. I have been dating a guy for 3 years now. He lost his job before we met and started dating and for this matter, he has been living off me all this while.
Our love was so strong that we were the talk and envy of many who never knew I was the one spending all the money. l have a fixed job while he doesn't, and sometime last year, we both agreed to purchase a car through a mortgage which the company I work with paid for on the arrangement that they will be deducting a certain amount of money from my salary monthly.
He suggested that we use his name as the official owner of the car which I didn't object to because we were working towards our marriage and since we were going to be married, what was there to have reservations about? Or so I thought.
Three months ago, he proposed for us to conclude wedding arrangements, but I had to decline because I wanted him to get a job first. Also, there was a secret I had been keeping from him for all these years, so I had to confess to him that I had a baby girl when I was in secondary school and that my child has been living with my mother in my hometown.
Before I could finish sharing this information with him, he got up and shouted at me saying "why didn't tell him all this while?" He walked out on me angrily and has been behaving funny ever since; he won't pick my calls and he has stopped coming to church and anywhere he is certain to meet me. It is so bad now, to the extent that when I go to his house, he refuses to answer the door when I knock, acting like he is not at home, even though I know perfectly well that he is in.
At this point, I read the hand writing on the wall, that he has walked out of the relationship. It's been three months since we broke up and it feels like I have lost a major project that I invested every other thing which I have laboured for. I have been paying for a car that I no longer enjoy.
Please what do I do? Do I take my car back? I am so confused. Please help!
After reading this, all sort of ideas came running through my little worried head. But I want to know what you think first, I will be back to tell you guys a story.
Peace... I'm out.

I've Got A Question.

Hello Ma Dahlings!
Where did the weekend go? I didn't have enough rest at all this weekend. But I hope and pray to God that this week will be a wonderful one for me and for everyone as well.

The title of the present post has become very necessary because, a cousin of mine called me over the weekend and complained bitterly about something pertaining to her relationship, and my counselor level was at its peak.

Her question was "what do you do if your boyfriends ex is his best friend"? According to her anytime the guy is not with her, he is with his ex, he finds every excuse to be with her and even picks her up from work sometimes, claiming that either her ex's car developed a fault or she needed him to help her out with something.

Also, anytime she asks him what exactly is going on between them, he would answer that there's nothing going on between them, other than friendship, and then assures her of his love. What I asked her to do was to sit him down and have a deep mature chat with him about the situation; and if there is still no improvement about  how much time he spends with her, then she should ask him to choose between she and his ex. Abi?

So I ask, what will you do if your boyfriend/girlfriend's ex  becomes their best friends?

A lovely week is what I wish for You! And You!! And You!!!

Peace... I'm out

Something To Laugh About...

Hello everyone!!
Hope you are all doing fine. I am doing great by the mercies of the most high God. Here is a joke I want to share with you. Please read and enjoy.
One day a lady went into a pharmacy shop, walked right up to the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said, "I would like to buy some cyanide please".
When the pharmacist asked her why, the lady replied by saying, "I need it to poison my husband." The pharmacist said 'Lord have mercy! That's against the law!
"Really?! I don't think so" said the lady. She then reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife. The pharmacist, shocked and enraged at the same time, said, after staring at the picture for a while "You didn't tell me you had a prescription!!!" lol. Isn't it funny how we change our stands on issues of value when we are the ones directly involved?lol.
I hope the week has been fruitful so far for everyone. Remember, rivers never reverse its flow. So try to live like a river. Forget not your past but focus on your future. Enjoy yourself as the week gets to its end!!! You deserve it.
Peace... I'm out

OMG!!!!

Hei Blogville!

I startled you with that title right?! Don't mind me jare. Was thinking of a way to get your attention, and I hope I succeeded.lol. On a more serious note, I wonder where the days are running to. I can't believe it's Friday already!

We are gradually getting close to Christmas and to the end of the year. I remember how I used to lovvee Christmas. When I was a little girl, my mum will buy me new shoes and knee socks that I would wear up to the knee, and almost feel so on top of the world. lol. I miss those good old days mehn...

I hope the year has been eventful so far, even though there's been struggles and ups and downs, I believe the Lord has kept us here for a purpose. Here is a little "something" I want to share with you for the weekend, happy reading...

One day, a rich dad took his son on a trip. He wanted to show him how the poor live. They spent time on the farm of a poor family. On their way home, the man asked his young boy, "Son, did you see how poor they are? What did you learn from our visit? the son answered and said "Dad! We have one dog, they have 4. We have a pool, they have a river. We buy food, they sow. We have walls to protect us and they have friends..."

He went on to say to his dad "Also, we have lanterns at night and they have stars. We have encyclopedias, and they have the bible." Then he concluded by saying "Thank you Dad for making me see how POOR we are."

*Lesson* The wealth we have and the riches we feel all around us is not about money. It's about simplicity and having God in our lives. So, never give up on life even when the going gets tough. Be strong and keep looking up to God. He has never failed me yet and I know He will not fail you either.
This weekend is going to be a long one and that's because Monday is a holiday here in Ghana. Lovely weekend everyone!!!

Peace... I'm out.

Aftermath Of The Rains ...The Travails It Left Behind.

hello people,

I am back again with full force. Even though the floods left us feeling sad and devastated, I know that it is well with us and all the people who were affected either directly or indirectly by this unfortunate incident are doing just fine. Like the great poet J.P Clarke said, one way or another "we are all casualties". We all need to heal, and we all will.

The aftermath of the floods is TERRIBLE. I got to know how bad it was on Sunday when I went to church and saw the way a lot of people were left with virtually nothing because the floods took everything (clothing, household items etc) away, leaving them with nothing.

A story that an old friend of mine in whose compound I used to park my car told me got me crying right in front of him. He said he was fast asleep when all of a sudden, he realized that his bed was turning around. Feeling dizzy, he got up to check what the problem was only to know his room was full of water all the way up to his shoulder level. Poor old man... He was shivering while he was telling me all these, and I couldn't help but shed a tear for him. I am glad he is alive at least because even though a lot of people lost their lives, he is okay.

In other matters, I am pleased to announce to blogville that I have been able to unravel the anonymous blogger HoneyDame and have come to understand why she was able to break her room mates bed after all with her bakassi!!!lol. For those of you who are finding it difficult to figure out what this is all about, see the story, BOTTOM POWER and everything will become clearer...lol

Mehn.... The babe get enough behind o!!! She is one absolutely amazing African beauty! Even though she warned me that she was going to send me to Afghanistan on exile if I dare disclose her identity, I just can't help but still bring it here for you all to see. watch the picture after the break.
