Woman to Woman
Hey ladies of Blogsville,
Someone shared this piece with me and after reading it, I just thought to myself..."why not share this on your blog for your readers to also enjoy? This could lift someone's spirit up, could put a smile on someone's face, and could restore the confidence level back in someone's life, especially in this season when there are a lot of whys and what ifs... The writer is anonymous, and I have also added a few words for greater blessings (winks). Enjoy:
In life, "Someone will always be prettier. Someone will always be smarter.
Someone's house will be bigger. Someone will drive a better car. Someone
will earn more. Someone will travel more. It doesn't mean they are better, they are just living there lives while you are busy trampling on what you are good, pretty, smarter and bigger in, wishing you had someone else's life.
Just let it go. Take care of yourself. Love yourself and be courageous in your circumstances, understanding that God always has His reasons, which will always be clear to us in the sweet by and by. The prettiest, slimmest woman in the world may have sadness in her heart. The most highly favored woman in your office may not be able to have children. So why do you think that being like them is the answer you need?
That married friend of yours might not be happy in her marriage. The richest woman you know may have the car, the house, and the clothes
- but might be very lonely. So, love yourself. Love who you are right
now! In this life, there are no perfect situations, but we always trust God to help us thrive through the imperfections around us.
Tell yourself "I am too blessed to be stressed." Be well.
Be happy. Be blessed. Pass this on to encourage another woman because,
"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might
be the world".
By the way, thanks for all the wonderful comments, prayers and wishes to to my sunshine. He really had fun and won't forget the celebrations in a hurry. Toin and Honeydame, make una no fight o! Make una just hurry up bring my DIL fast-fast. Time no dey o! The guy is in HOOOOOOT demand keke. Na first come first serve o! lol
Have a great week and stay out of trouble.
Peace... I'm out!
Hi Priscy,
ReplyDeletelovely post, I love the bit about being 'too blessed to be stressed' and "To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world".
Let's just be happy and contented with who we are and what we have.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more...
DeleteI'd read this thingy somewhere sha.. xx

Oh yes o... I actually have a "too blessed to be stressed" photo as my background... really really, one can not afford to be stressed about trivial things
ReplyDeleteInspiring!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting, life is not fair but we got to keep it moving and living

This is a very very nice and,no doubt, helpful piece.I know i'm not a woman, but the content applies also to men.We really should appreciate the lives we live and the things that happen around us,rather than wish to have someone else's life.
ReplyDeleteDeinitely too blessed to be stressed.

hi Priscy, hope you are doing great? Love to you and Gabby. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love 'love yourself and be courageous in your circumstances.'
ReplyDeleteI dont know who remembers that old skool song 'everybody wants to be somebody else.' Joyce Meyer also tweeted once 'the grass may be greener on the other side, but you also have to mow the lawn!' I found it such an eye-opener.
Thaks for sharing...:-)
Great philosophy to abide by. The secret to happiness is just CONTENTMENT because someone else will always do better and be better than you are. We are not in competition with anyone, but competing with our God-given goals. Comparing ourselves with others is a most unwise move.
ReplyDeleteNice share girl, God bless you.
Hi Priscy, how are you and Gabby?
