I am happy to connect with you this new wonderful week. By the way, I know you had a weekend as awesome as the one I had. We thank God for His goodness upon us all... Please see a few pictures gathered from here and there, which I feel should instruct us. Enjoy:

I just learnt a new Latin phrase "Res Ipsa Loquitur"... lol. Yeaaaa, Na me be that! This is simply to say that the fact speaks for itself. I believe the pictures and the lesson is self explanatory. I wish us all the very best of this week.

If Only We knew...

Hello everybody!

I trust you all are doing wonderfully well! I had a great weekend and I'm thinking everyone too had the same and even better. I read this somewhere, and even though the author is unknown, I think it's an awesome piece that must be shared. Enjoy...

Me: God, May I ask You a question?

God: Sure

Me: Promise You won't get mad

God: I promise

Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?

God: What do u mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late

God: Yes

Me: My car took forever to start

God: Okay

Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait

God: Hmm.

Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call

God: All right

Me: And on top of it all, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager to relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?

God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one

of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that

Me (humbled): OH

GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):Okay

God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I'm Sorry God

God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.

Me: I will trust You.

God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.

Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.

God: You're welcome child. It was just another day of being your God and I Love looking after My Children...
 
Is this not awesome?! Most times, things happen that we don't understand but God always has a plan and things will definitely pan out in the sweet by and by... He is always doing something, even when the things around us seem different. Blessed week I wish you all.

Let Us Pray...

My people,

How y'all doing today? I feel a strong need for us to share this prayer; not just together, but with the ones we love and care about. It's a lovely prayer I got from 360degreeslove facebook page, and as it is my usual habit to share good things (*winks*), I am calling us all to lift up this prayer.

Ok... Let us pray:

Lord help our hearts when we are weak. Help our focus when we can't find our way. Teach us to pray when all in our hearts are questions. Keep us from falling Lord, when our hearts are filled with bitterness and vengeance against those whose senseless recklessness have brought us unbearable pain. Help us to bear the pain o God. 

Teach us how to deal with grief and offence Your own way. Help us to continuously desire to live within the confines of Your will, even when we feel justified to walk away from the truth we speak. May our hurt never make us adulterate or deal dishonestly with the truth. 

May Your Spirit at work in us, keep our spirits alive and yearning after You. Let our losses bring increase to Your ever increasing Kingdom. Yours is the Kingdom, Power and Glory, forever and ever, in Jesus name... Amen

Vanity: The New Song In The Block!!!

Hello Blogsville!!!

"Vanity of Vanities, all is vanities" is the declaration by the wise man in the book of Ecclesiastes, and describes the eternal uncertainty, deceitfulness and lack of fulfillment of all the things that we crave and want in this life.

T.I.V, the award-winning duo who made the still viral hit, "Komole", is out again with a song called "Vanity" and it served as a great reminder of the eternal words of the wise man in Ecclesiastes. The lyrics are deep with beats that keep your feet dancing and your mind thinking.  

Apparently the song Vanity was Produced by A2 and I hear the video will be out very soon. Maybe you should download and listen to it too. You might learn a thing or two... Because everything, which has to do with our personal ambitions in this life, is vanity!

And Then We Forget Them...

Hello all,

Been thinking about something and I can't help but share it on here. Recently, a friend of mine lost her cousin... She died after giving birth to a set of twins (two beautiful girls). 

Anyway, after the funeral and all, family members committed to give their support to the father and the granny in catering for and raising the twins. However, it hasn't even been 2months since the death and burial of this lady, and everybody has forgotten about these children. I feel that way because, I don't hear my friend talking about them like she used to at the beginning, no phone calls talking about how the children are coping; No account of them, no update, nothing at all... Everyone has moved on. They have gotten busy with their own issues and affairs and the twins have now become history if you ask me.

Dwelling upon the situation of the twins reminded me about when my mum died; how family members promised to be there... Some of them said "oh don't worry, we are there for you" Others said... "call on me anytime". And the question I asked myself was, "were they actually there?" Nope! they weren't... Was it a spur of the moment thing, which inspired consoling words? Yes it was... Do I blame them? No I don't... I really don't, cause everyone has got issues and although some might try to be there for you, they won't be there always. Only God will always be there.

As for the little girls, I only and always lift up a prayer to God for their protection, provision and sustenance.

 

Now my question is, is it that we get too busy with our own issues, that we forget about others, or do we make promises in the heat of the moment and yet forget? Let's hear you out please.

What Is Your Name?

Greetings everyone!

How is everyone doing?! I trust we all are very fine by the special grace of God. I know I have some award questions to answer... Don't worry... will get to it soonest.

I know, I know... Priscy always skips questions, right?... But this time around, am so going to answer. Trust me. Thanks to you all who deemed me deserving enough for a nomination. I appreciate!

I was going through my church notes the other day, and I came across this message about how important names are, and how people will respond to you the way you see and carry yourself.

What is your name? which name, title or designation do you respond to? Jabez prayed and asked God to deliver him from experiences that the circumstances of his birth (which brought about the name his mother called him) and God did, by turning around his circumstances from sorrowful to beautiful. The tag you accept is the label you wear. People may call you, weak, poor, foolish, helpless, Mr/Miss nobody, thick head... but what do you call yourself? 

Why won't you begin to replace some names you've been tagged? Instead of weak, say you are STRONG 'cause the bible says "let the weak say I am strong" (Joel 3:10). By His strips we are healed (Isaiah 53:5-6). Instead of ‘poor’, say you’re RICH 'cause "Though He was rich, for our sakes He became poor, that through Him and by His poverty, we might be rich" (2Cor 8:9) Instead of ‘foolish’, declare that you’re WISE, because you fear God (Prov 9:10). 

The way you make your bed is the way you lie on it. So please, refuse man’s tag and accept God’s label. Recognise who you are, and whose you are. I have made up my mind, that it is what God has said about me, and what He has purchased for me through Christ, that will count in and over my life, not what people say to me and about me.

In Christ Jesus, we are BLESSED and not cursed, REDEEMED and not condemned, ACCEPTED and not rejected, CELEBRATED and not tolerated and above all, we are LOVED by the Master of the universe!

To Be or Not To Be... The Future of Our Values

Hello everyone, 

I trust we all doing awesome by the abundant Grace of the most high God. My weekend was quiet and restful and I trust yours was good too.

I have some things bothering me that I want to get off my chest. Recently, RLG (a communications company here in Ghana) invited American R&B singer Chris Brown for a concert and the kinda things that went on during the show has given rise to this small piece of writing...

This singer whom the RLG paid a huge sum of cash to bring to our shores, quizzed the over a thousand crowd during his performance of how many of them smoked wee? After that question, the singer said “If anybody's tripping on y'all smoking wee, f**k them.” He then went ahead to bring out a neatly rolled stick of marijuana (wee, ganja, or "igbo" as my naija friends call it), and "puffed" it right before the glaring eyes of the security and the crowd which was a mixture of adults, minors and little kids.

As if that wasn't enough insult, producers of the show came out to say that, Chris didn't smoke as purported but rather an e-cigaret. imagine!  

These are my concerns: Is it that we (Africans) don't appreciate the talents we have among us as much as we ought, that we are even making them wish that they were the ones who we are willing to give up an arm and a leg to go and watch? Instead of spending so much to bring foreign artists into the country, won't it better to invest that money in the local artist in order to boost our local entertainment industry, especially considering the fact that these guys (the local entertainers), no matter how controversial they get, will always seek recourse to the values and mentality of our society? Me, I like my country and the values we have as a people. Most importantly, it's important to me what my kids watch and what information they are imbibing all in the name of entertainment. 

Like seriously, Africa has got some of the finest artists in the world, but we Africans, have little or no regard for them. Lets get talking... Do you think if any local artist did what Chris Brown did on a Ghanaian stage, that artist would be allowed to go scot-free without some questions from the security agencies? I was so happy to hear that Jimmy Cliff tried smoking wee in Nigeria a long time ago and was picked up for it, without considering that he was one of the mega world stars of that time. Can that happen in Nigeria again or have we lost everything?

God has been very faithful to you and I. For us to see the beginning of a  new month means we will see the end of it and enter into another and another and another... That is what our God does, seeing His children through the storm, through the fire and through the rain.

In this month, do what you have set out to do and make sure it pleases He that has given you the opportunity and the blessing to be part of this time in history... Dare to be different... Dare to reach higher... Dare to dream big dreams and be a prayerful person too. It is well people, and things can only get better! Have an awesome March!!!
